Oh, in case you're wondering, I've been using pixelmator instead of photoshop lately. Well I haven't really posted ay of my artworks here, but yea. So for you Mac users, DON'T buy Adobe photoshop. It's a waste of money. Well except if you're a pro or have been comfortable using Adobe photoshop of course.. Like Adobe is approx. $1000, while pixelmator is only $69 something (CANADIAN). So yea, if you're about to start experimenting with photoshop and those kind of stuff, I suggest not to buy Adobe first. Because it's more difficult to use, and it's WAAAAAAY EXPENSIVE!

Hey people! It's been forever since my last post! I don't know but every time I feel like I wanted to post something brilliant, after few seconds of typing it, I just feel it's just some stupid crap. I can't believe it's almost 5 month since I got here in Canada!

I don't know what to say, but I feel like those first few months here, is the best so far. Since I'm still trying to adapt and all, so it's like a whole new journey and such. It's not that I don't like it here.. Don't get me wrong, but it's just.. It's kinda awkward now, being a geeky Asian girl who always have TI-84 Calculator in her purse.

You know what? Now I feel how it is like to be alone. And you all know the symptoms of loneliness. When you're listening to The Beatles while typing random crap in your blog at 10:40 p.m. And what you could think of is how to hack your cousins' Facebook account without them knowing and such. Geez, I'm such a dork.

The only reason why I type this stuff, is because typing makes me think that I actually speak or communicate with someone. Even though I know that nobody read this stupid blog anyways.. Oh God how I wanted to watch some retarded show on Indonesian TV channel. Something like those ridiculously impossible stories about demon child with pet giant dragon fly on Indosiar.

All I can think about now is, am I going to make it through? Am I going to be successful? Or am I just going to ended up wasting all these money?

So many questions, and nobody's here.. Nobody can answer my questions.

A view days ago, I confirmed a friend request in Facebook. And, at the same day, I confirmed a buddy request in MSN too. At first, I thought that the person who's adding me is my elementary school friend.

My Sister Is Such A Crybaby -Part TWO!!

It's such a relieve that I finally find something interesting to post here! Haha.. I've been through so many sick- boring days... I had influenza now, and I think I could really sneeze my guts out!! How sick is that! GAH!

Well.. As I told you in my past post(past- post? haha it sounds kinda funny to me) I'm going to study abroad, and before I go there I have to finish some business here, that business includes getting my braces off(yeah, I wear braces). So, recently I went to the dentist with my mom and my sister. I just got my braces tightened, but the doctor finds out that my sister has even bigger problem than my orthodontics teeth.. CAVITY

The doctor then ask my sister to open her mouth and started to drill her teeth, and guess what? Yeah I knew you'd guess this.. SHE CRIED! My mother can't even stand it! She laughed heavily with me outside the dentist's office! HA!

Dentist: "It's not gonna hurt"

My sister: (crying)

I really like blogging now. I don't know if it's going to last forever, but I really enjoy it, for now. The thing about blogging that I like is, it really helps me with my English. As you might know from my older post, that I'm in a path to obtain the Barf Bird's dream. Yeah. That path includes improving my bad English and me, studying abroad, in Canada. HA! I speak in Indonesian Language all-the-time here, but in just 4 months I have to change that habit. I HAVE TO ENDURE SPEAKING IN ENGLISH! GAH! I really excited about studying abroad, but I can't imagine how can I survive the language differences. I really like to talk. I TALK A LOT. Maybe, you'll see me and think that I'm such a quiet girl, but I'm not. So, now I'm practicing. I start blogging in English. Maybe it's a good way to start improving my language skills, right?

I adore sketches! I really am. So, now I'm in a process of training to obtain the chance to be a fashion illustrator. I like fashion, but I think my taste will ruin my sketch. The girl who's never worried about what she's wearing -that's who I am. I don't have the courage to explore myself in those kind of clothing, that girly girly frilly thingy. But I'm proud of my friend Fia, she's really talented as a future fashion designer. I hope she could do such a great job, cause she's gifted you know? Maybe my gift is I can tell my stories out of my sketch. So wish me luck with the path that I chose, I want to be a Fashion Illustrator. At least for now,

Sekolah Sebagai Ajang Lomba

Sekolah sekarang isinya cuma tes-tes doang. Murid-murid justru lebih banyak belajar bersama guru privat dibandingkan dengan guru pelajaran di sekolah. Kenapa? Padahal orang tua kita bayaran sekolah supaya kita bisa belajar dan jadi pintar. Akan tetapi sekarang sekolah hanya menjadi ajang perlombaan akademis maupun non akademis. Selain memberikan tekanan kepada mental siswa, semua itu saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangat melelahkan! Waw!
Bayangin, masuk sekolah jam 7 pagi, kira-kira mulai belajar jam 7.30. Istirahat jam 10 selama 15 menit, terus belajar lagi dan istirahat siang serta ibadah Dzuhur untuk yg beragama Islam pada pukul 12. Eh, belajar lagi, baru selesai jam 2.30. Ibadah Ashar sampai 3.30, baru pulang. Setelah semua itu, banyak lagi kegiatan yg menanti. Mungkin ada les mata pelajaran, mungkin les kesenian, les olah raga, atau bahkan les mengaji.
Setelah melalui semua itu dari hari Senin-Jumat, hari Sabtu-Minggu yg seharusnya menjadi waktu yg tepat untuk beristirahat, justru diisi dengan kegiatan yg sangat seru. Menjelajahi buku-buku pelajaran! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeei! BAHKAN MASIH ADA PR DI WEEKEND! Sebenarnya yg penting adalah peringkat, atau kenyataan bahwa sang murid sendiri mengerti tujuan dari pembelajaran itu sendiri sih?
Kenapa kita harus belajar lagi di luar sekolah? Apakah sekolah hanya tempat kita menerima nilai dari apa yg kita pelajari, justru kebanyakan di luar sekolah. Entah bersama guru privat atau bimbingan belajar dan yg lainnya.
